2025 Namibia Photo Tour – an all-inclusive journey for serious photographers
Namib has been a desert for 60 to 80 million years, making it the oldest desert on earth… and definitely one of the most photogenic. The magnificent red sand dunes run seemingly forever and stretch to the sky. They may not be quite that tall, but a sand dune that is 20 miles long and the height of three football fields is big! The landscape photographer's bucket list must include the red sand dunes and petrified forests of Namibia.
The worlds' tallest sand dunes are in Namibia, and the vivid red colors give the impression that you have left earth! The dunes are simply incredible. The dunes are not the whole story by a long shot. There are rusty shipwrecks, eerie petrified trees, unique wildlife, some of the darkest night skies on the planet, fascinating people, and one of the planet's weirdest trees, the Quiver Tree.
This trip was designed to be in the most photogenic locations at the prime time of the year. Like all of our trips, your professional photographer guide will help you find the best spots. We will help you with the settings needed to create a stunning image worthy of this magical country.
We not only want to send you home with crazy good photography but with improved photography skills as well.
Join this workshop, and we will create awe-inspiring images while playing in a gigantic sandbox! What could be better than that? Join us today!

Itinerary of Workshop
Day One – You will arrive and be transported to our lodge in Windhoek and enjoy our first meal together in the beautiful surroundings. Note: the easiest way to get to Windhoek is to fly to Johannesburg (South Africa) where the group can meet and take the same flight to Windhoek together. Details will be included in your preparation guidebook.
Day Two – Day Four – We will be on safari in Etosha National Park. The park offers the widest variety of wildlife in Namibia. Etosha is known as the “great white area “. This is because of the tremendous dried pan in the park’s centre. The pan forms a unique backdrop and offers terrific contrasts in colour. This large white area is undoubtedly one of the reasons why we have chosen Etosha as our preferred wildlife photographic safari destination.
Day Five – After a morning game drive we will head towards Spitzkoppe. Along the way, you will visit a Himba village. You will be able to meet some of the local community who will be happy to demonstrate elements of their traditional lifestyle and create some compelling environmental portraits.
The Spitzkoppe mountain range's granite is dated at more than 700 million years old. The mountain's distinctive shape has earned it the nickname the Matterhorn of Namibia. This area offers photographers some of the best night sky photography opportunities for the Milky Way.
Day Six – We depart for Walvis Bay. After a sunrise shoot and breakfast, we drive further to Walvis Bay. The main attraction here is photographing Pelicans, seabirds and the thousands of flamingos that call the area home. Overnight at a hotel in Walvis Bay.
Day Seven – Nine – Fron Walvis Bay we travel to Sossusvlei where we stay inside the national park so that we can get access to Deadvlei at dawn to photograph the iconic Camel-Thorn Trees in silhouette again the red dunes. We will also have photo sessions of the surrounding dunes during our time in the beautiful Sossusvlei area. Sossusvlei is the iconic area for the Namibian dune photographs that you always see. (optional helicopter flights are available today)
Day Ten – We will depart after one final sunrise photoshoot of the dunes. (optional helicopter flight over the dunes is available) We will head south towards Lüderitz, passing through the spectacular scenery of the Tiras Mountain Conservancy and a section of the NamibRand Nature Reserve. We’ll spend the afternoon and evening photographing the famous Kolmanskop Ghost Town.
Day Eleven: It’s up early this morning for another visit to the historic ghost town of Kolmanskop. We’ll then travel to the Quivertree Forest for sunset and night photography. The Quiver Tree is one of the most fascinating and characteristic plants of Namibia. The name Quiver Tree refers to the traditional use of the branches by Bushmen and Hottentots tribes to make quivers for their arrows. Today is our longest drive of the safari, but we have some photo stops and lunch along the way.
Day Twelve: We will have a morning shoot before making our way back to Windhoek with photo stops and a lunch stop along the way. We should arrive in Windhoek before dinner. Group dinner in the evening is at a favorite local restaurant where we’ll celebrate an amazing safari.
Day Thirteen – We’ll be transferred to the Windhoek International Airport (WDH) in time for our onward international flights. Flights can be scheduled for any time today.
